Green Feed Formula   (+)
Alltech’s “Green” Horse Feed Pellet
O.H. Kruse believes that turning to eco-friendly products is more than a trend, it is a way to show commitment to nature’s powerful resources.  From the packaging to each ingredient, Green Feed meets environmentally-friendly requirements at each step.  The diet’s formula contains the exact amount of each nutrient; not more - not less, to ensure optimal digestion, thereby naturally decreasing the nutrient content of manure and the risk of ground water contamination.  Green Feed also accounts for the local availability of ingredients to help minimize its carbon footprint and energy waste from transportation.  The use of grain products in Green Feed is kept to a minimum to avoid competing with ingredients used in the human food chain.  The bag is made of recyclable and biodegradable materials.  Green Feed embraces nature’s model for a non-waste approach with no sacrifice to nutrition. Good for the horse and for the animal lover - It’s a natural choice.
Feed Formulations:
Green Feed is formulated based on a horse in a light exercise or maintenance situation. This model was selected because it encompasses the largest single group of horses that eat prepared feeds.
Green Feed is prepared in pellet form so that we are able to use as many non-grain nutrient sources as possible. The target intake for this product is 3 lbs per day for an 1100 lb horse. The horse would also consume 1.8% of his body weight in low to medium quality grass hay.

Triple Crown Complete (+)
Triple Crown Complete
Triple Crown Complete is a high fiber, low carbohydrate horse feed with the highest fat concentration, 10%, of any “complete” feed available today. Triple Crown Complete is ideal for horses on poor pasture or hay (obviously not from Kruse Feed) and eliminates the need for supplementation.
Feeding Instructions:  Triple Crown Complete is a complete feed designed for horses. It is especially useful for horses that have difficulty consuming hay and traditional horse feeds in pelleted or textured form due to damaged or worn teeth or COPD. The nutrient concentration of Triple Crown Complete has also been adjusted in order to provide an allowance to horses challenged with allergic reactions due to COPD. If your horse can eat hay: Provide good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and fresh, clean water on a free choice basis. Adjust the amount of Triple Crown Complete fed on a daily basis in order to maintain the horse’s body condition at a moderate level. Begin with approximately 6 pounds of Triple Crown Complete per day for a 1000 pound horse (Ponies: 4 pounds) and then adjust up or down as needed after 2 to 4 weeks in order to maintain desired body condition. Do not feed more than 8 pounds of Triple Crown Complete at a single meal (Ponies: 4 pounds). Allow 3 to 4 hours between meals when feeding 6 to 8 pounds (Ponies: 3 to 4 pounds) of Triple Crown Complete at a single meal.

Triple Crown Senior (+)
Triple Crown Senior
Developed specifically for older horses, this formula features a higher nutrient content to compensate for a less efficient digestive system. A higher fat content provides the extra energy older horses need. Plus, it is softer, more easily digested and can be mixed with water to form a mash for horses who experience difficulty chewing and swallowing. Has enough bulk fiber to be used as the sole ration for horses unable to eat hay or pasture. It can also be used with good quality hay. Available in 50 lb. bags.
Feeding Instructions: IF YOUR HORSE CAN EAT HAY: Provide good quality hay and/or pasture, salt and fresh, clean water on a free choice basis. Adjust the amount of Triple Crown Senior fed on a daily basis in order to maintain the horse’s body condition at a moderate level. Begin with approximately 6 pounds of Triple Crown Senior per day and then adjust up or down as needed after 2 to 4 weeks in order to maintain desired body condition. Do not feed more than 5 pounds of Triple Crown Senior at a single meal. Allow 3 to 4 hours between meals when feeding 4 to 5 pounds of Triple Crown Senior at a single meal. Triple Crown Growth (+)
Triple Crown Growth
Triple Crown Growth is an equine feed product for weanlings, yearlings, and broodmares fortified to provide protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, macro minerals, trace minerals, bacteria and enzymes. Triple Crown Growth utilizes the latest research regarding nutritional support for sound growth in horses. Supplying a diet low in soluble carbohydrates and high in fat and fiber has been demonstrated to support fast and sound growth in a superior manner compared to traditional grain based diets high in soluble carbohydrates.
Feeding Instructions: Triple Crown Growth should be fed to growing horses along with free access to good quality pasture and/or hay, fresh clean water and plenty of free exercise. For nursing foals, feed 1% of body weight up to 400 lbs. For weanlings and older, the amount of Triple Crown Growth fed daily should be adjusted to maintain a moderate body condition level. If not sure how much to feed, begin with 6 - 8 pounds per day divided into as many feedings as feasible and then adjust up or down depending upon the needs of the individual horse. If feeding less than 5 pounds of Triple Crown Growth on a regular basis due to easy maintenance of desired body condition then 1/2 to 1 pound per day of Triple Crown 30 Supplement should also be fed in combination with Triple Crown Growth as means to insure adequate mineral and vitamin intakes to support sound growth. For Ponies, feed half of the recommendations listed above for horses.
NOTE: Provide plenty of fresh, clean water and forage at all times. Keep product fresh in cool, dry storage. Examine product daily for mold or insect contamination. DO NOT use product that is old, molded or insect contaminated.

Triple Crown Lite (+)
Triple Crown Lite
Triple Crown Lite is ideal for “easy keepers” – Horses that maintain their weight on very little grain or just on grass and hay. Normally, a horse would have to eat five to six pounds of grain to derive a sufficient amount and a proper balance of vitamins and minerals. This is especially true of growing horses, broodmares, stallions and working horses. Triple Crown Lite is so heavily fortified, you can feed a horse as few as two pounds per day. This formula is also ideal for ponies and miniature horses.
Feeding Intructions:  Triple Crown Lite weight management formula is designed to be a palatable feed for horses that will provide a desired intake level of supplemental minerals and vitamins without encouraging excessive weight gains. Triple Crown Lite should be fed to horses that have a tendency to become overweight or are receiving less than 4 pounds of grain per day. Triple Crown Lite should be fed in combination with hay and/or pasture, salt, and fresh clean water. If your horses is being fed more than 5 pounds of grain per day in order to maintain desired body condition, Triple Crown Lite is not recommended. Instead, use another Triple Crown product as indicated below for these horses.
Growing Horses: Feed 2 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per horse per day. If more than 3 pounds per day of Triple Crown Lite is needed to maintain the horse’s desired body condition, switch to Triple Crown 14% Performance Formula or Triple Crown Growth.
Mature Horses: Feed 2 to 4 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per horse per day. If more than 4 pounds per day of Triple Crown Lite is needed to maintain the horse’s desired body condition, switch to Triple Crown 10% Performance Formula or Triple Crown Complete.
Ponies and Miniature Horses: Feed 1 pound of Triple Crown Lite per horse per day per 500 pounds of body weight and adjust accordingly. Please consult with Triple Crown Nutrition at 1–800–451–9916 for any horse feeding questions.
CAUTION: In order to avoid excessive mineral and vitamin intake, DO NOT feed more than 5 pounds of Triple Crown Lite per day. Chronic intake of excess minerals and/or vitamins can adversely affect the health of your horse.
NOTE: DO NOT feed moldy, sour smelling, insect or rodent infested feed to horses as it may cause illness or death.

Triple Crown Low Starch (+)
Triple Crown Low Starch Pellets
Not all horses are easy keepers; some require those additional calories for higher levels of performance or elevated levels of metabolism. Since Triple Crown Low Starch has lower carbs than hay and pasture, it can be used as a complete feed to replace all or part of (the forage) portion of the diet, which is typically unknown for its carbohydrate and starch levels. Triple Crown Low Starch contains no corn, molasses, or alfalfa meal, ingredients many horse owners believe cause erratic behavior. By utilizing good quality fiber sources and added fat, including rice bran and flaxseed, we can replace a number of the calories that are sacrificed by keeping carbs low.
Triple Crown Low Starch also has a low potassium level (0.75%) that makes it a very good choice for horses diagnosed with HYPP. Again, the fiber in Low Starch will allow you to replace part of your hay that can be as high as 1.5% to 2.5% potassium.
Feeding Instructions: Triple Crown Lite weight management formula is designed to be a palatable feed for horses that will provide a desired intake level of supplemental minerals and vitamins without encouraging excessive weight gains.
