| Otto H. Kruse started working in the feed industry in 1922 at the El Monte Feed Co. In 1935, he purchased a small feed mill in South El Monte and O.H. Kruse Grain and Milling was started. Richard H. Kruse (Otto's son) had worked in the mill all his life. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1968, Richard spent two years on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He started working full time with the mill in 1970. On November 13, 1978, Richard opened the doors to Kruse Feed & Supply for the first time. The store has been operating in the original O.H. Kruse feed mill that his father had started in 1935. |
| Over the next few years the business began to grow rapidly. In
1987, the La Habra location opened it's doors for business and took off running.
Today we have the same two locations serving the public. We have been able
to stay in business for 25 years because we understand that the customer always
comes first. We strive to ensure that every customer is completely
satisfied with the product that they receive. |
